Yesterday (11th July) we were at the Donington WI. They have been going for 75 years and we were lucky enough to have offered a piece of cake, which was scrumptious.

Also whilst there one of the members was lucky enough to take part in carrying one of the 8,000 Olympic Torches and bought it along to the meeting.

I was surprised at how much more impressive it looked compared to on the television. It was nice to listen to the ladies story about carrying the torch and such a good souvenir for such a rare event in our country.
